Websites have historically been designed based on assumptions.

Well-intended assumptions, but assumptions nonetheless.

It was thought that a well-designed site, that was consistent with the company’s brand, would best serve visitors. It was believed that this would increase sales, leads and loyalty. But most websites never experienced that.

Ultimately, the client is the judge and jury on any brand. If a website is to be successful – if it is to generate more sales, prospects and loyalty it must be based on what the customer actually wants. It can’t be based on what we think the customer wants. With this knowledge, Obsidian Launch developed methods and systems to get the clients’ input. Better said – the clients’ behavioral input. By using web based behavioral monitoring – invisible users – Obsidian determines what clients respond to and what they don’t. The analysis clearly identifies how a website must be modified to align with clients’ natural behavior. The result is a website that matches the intentions and needs of the client. Sales go up, sign ups increase, and visitors come back over and over again.

OUR TEAM LEADERS

No client should ever be a guinea pig for it’s vendor. When Mike founded Obsidian, he designed the behavioral web optimization platform to optimize his own website. The result was a perennial best selling business book, and a site that yielded 10,000 natural double opt-in registrations in 227 days.

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Mike is a court qualified expert in computer forensic analysis and worked on the Enron trial. At Obsidian Launch Mike is the guy you will work with directly. He oversees the implementation of all projects.

With traditional website optimization brand integrity is not considered and your website becomes a cold, transactional experience.

With over 15 years of brand development, corporate identity management and web technology integration, Liz Dobrinska manages behavioral optimization roll-outs and brand adherence.

She is a graduate of Moore College of Art and Design and competes her horse, Rocky, in the dressage circuit.

All the data in the world is useless, unless it is collected properly, validated fully and interpreted accurately. That’s what Adam does.

Adam Sayler specializes in behavioral data collections, validation and analysis. He has facilitated the roll-out of many tier one e-commerce sites as well as traditional "branding sites."

A graduate of Oregon State University, on the weekends (or a nice sunny day) you will find Adam rock climbing or water skiing – not necessarily in that order.

Our clients believe it must take a rocket scientist to do what we do. They’re right! And this is exactly why Dr. Zarik Boghossian joined Obsidian – he is a rocket scientist.

Zarik developed and managed the orbital flight software used by NASA for the international space station. He has over 25 years of experience in developing advanced technology solutions, real-time embedded systems and intelligence management systems.

Zarik also developed and now manages Obsidian’s behavioral monitoring & analysis platform.
